At the right timing, you may be asked to step into to leading, either in an assistant role or as a team leader over one of our areas of focus (EG Host, Groups, Serving Team, Missions Team, Outreach Team).

Get a Coach or Mentor

Coaching will happen naturally within your ministry as your leader helps you to develop skills and directs behaviors in your given position. Coaching is about performance; it has a specific agenda and objectives to achieve.

Mentoring is more focused on your personal development. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship that affirms the value of developing others. Mentorship will bring personal accountability and help determine direction for growth that is essential in every leader’s experience. Maturing as a leader progresses more effectively when it’s done through relationship; having someone who values your development, to use a sounding board for processing decisions and providing feedback, allows for the discovery of your best next steps. There is no time frame for developing as a leader. Development is a journey, not a destination. God uses others in our lives, in His time, to help us along the way. After all, there are no shortcuts to anything worthwhile.
