Before Leading
There are many experiences that God uses to prepare us spiritually and help us mature in our relationship with Him. At Celebration, multiple avenues are available to expose you to some of those experiences through Serving, Missions Trips, Community Outreach, even hosting Devo Groups. Participating helps you determine the areas you may be passionate about.
Wherever you are right now, you can discover what it feels like to gather people around kingdom purpose, build relationships and grow spiritually. Engaging in experiences like leading your very own Devo Group is a great start. Facilitating a Devo Group is not a leadership role but it is a great first taste at influencing others and influence is leadership.
Ultimately the goal is to achieve your God-given potential. As you begin your journey we hope to develop within you the strengths of spiritual leadership and values we uphold for leading at Celebration Church. The process of development will allow God to deposit in you a heart for His house and a passion for His mission.
Celebration Leadership Values
Leaders Catch the Vision — Celebration Church is called to be a global, multi-site church – impacting the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Leaders Submit to the Vision — Understand that the goal is greater than the role. Submitting to the vision requires a willingness set aside personal agendas to do whatever it takes to accomplish the vision of the house.
Leaders Pay the Price — Leadership comes at a cost. If we want the opportunity to do anything significant for God, understand there is a price to pay; the price of inconvenience and sacrifice.
Leaders Embrace Spiritual Authority — We will never flourish being in authority until we learn how to operate under authority.
Leaders are Servants — We are not leaders who serve, we are servants who have been given an opportunity to lead.
Leaders Lead From the Front — Leaders are engaged and visible as they lead their team by example in attitude, behavior and character.
Leaders Multiply Their Influence — Church expansion is only possible as we bring others along and release them to lead.
